I load up Civ 4, and then I click advanced>load a mod> Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn. have to wait several minutes, then the program says it stopped working. No log file is ever created, nothing else is said. EDIT: it also doesn't go into the typical loading GUI, all it does it say it stopped working.
OS: Vista Home(UAC is disabled)
Install Type: Civilization 4 Complete
Hardware: Underpowered to be honest, but I've run 1.75C on this machine before
I've tried this with RoM 2.92, AND 1.75C, and AND 2.00 beta.
Not sure why it's crashing. Loads fine with other mods such as Rhye's.
The only difference between this time and last time I had Civ4 installed was I was using Civ4+expasions not Civ4 Complete. Anyone had issues with Civ4Complete? any solutions to offer? any tests to run?
EDIT: Also crashes with standard RoM 2.90 as well. All crash when started initially as well.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have also downloaded every version twice and tested each download. all of them crash for me.
